The opportunity
Connections is a business social network platform providing enterprise users with collaboration capabilities such as integrated email and calendar, news feed, communities and team spaces, activities and todos, file sharing, people directory, search and discovery tools and many other tasks.
In addition to the challenges of designing truly useful collaboration tools, Connections, being a system, required us to craft and maintain a holistic user experience across capabilities sourced from across IBM and IBM Research.
The move to the cloud and reconfiguration as a SaaS application, provided us with the opportunity to modernize the user interface and refine the interplay across the capabilities, resulting in a more seamless and intuitive expoerience for users.
